OBO PYROPLATE® Fibre is a mineral fibre or soft insulation. The core of the system is the mineral fibre plate coated with a moisture-resistant ablation coating. When there is a fire, the fire protection coating forms an insulating carbon foam. Together with the mineral fibre plates, this provides effective prevention of the spread of fire and smoke. According to the construction approval, in addition to the cables, pipes made of steel, copper or various plastics may also be run through the same insulation. Therefore, the OBO PYROPLATE® Fibre is combination insulation for various structures. For pipelines, additional fire protection measures (section insulation and pipe sleeves) are required.
